Trashketball is an exciting game that requires minimum setup.
Materials needed:
- Trash can
- Ball
- Problems to solve
Game instructions:
- Split your class into teams.
- Display a question from the game
- Teams get points for correct answers and a chance to shoot a basket for bonus points.
Digital Trashketball
You get two versions of 4th Grade Area and Perimeter game: PowerPoint and Google Slides. Choose the format that works best for you. Both versions include built-in answer keys.

THIS GAME COVERS THE FOLLOWING TEKS:
- 4.5D – solve problems related to perimeter and area of rectangles where dimensions are whole numbers
- 4.5C – use models to determine the formulas for the perimeter of a rectangle (l + w + l + w or 2l + 2w), including the special form for perimeter of a square (4s) and the area of a rectangle (l x w)
